Shock and Awe

It’s a week today since I left California on my punishingly long train journey to Seattle and since I’m now pushing through the exciting holiday phase of my time here and onto the slower-paced settling in phase, I wanted to note down some of my observations on life in the dampest corner of the land of the free.
